Malfurion just sleeps all the time, Sandris just nods, Maiev is well-developed enough but she's seldom involved unless it's about Illidan. There are no night elves questioning Tyrande's obsessive mentality with her new vengeful persona to chase Sylvanas to the end of the Shadowlands and beyond to the detriment of her own well-being, arguably leaving her race leader-less in her stead. That seems enough for most of them (Tyrande being the main exception).Points taken, but on the last one, Tyrande seems to be the only night elf we hear, like she's the voice of a hive mind. Are they less moral than they used to be? Are they amoral now? I have no clue what you're suggesting with this line. Then again, they still haven't managed to rebuild Auberdine after Cataclysm, so maybe they'll take a while to get those homes back.

Teldrassil didn't exist in WC3, and aside from rebuilding their holdings in Darkshore and Ashenvale, they haven't lost much. They have pretty much everything they had pre-WoW. One doesn't invoke an ancient rite to one's deity if one has given up on that deity. I find it suspect how faith in Elune works, if dying seems to be the thing that breaks their faith, but that's not really on-topic for this. It seems a pretty clear cut line between the ones who died and the ones who didn't in terms of spiritual breaking.

I'm not sure how this differs from the Bilgewater, Forsaken, and Worgen, who also suffered a large catastrophe that annihilated their central home and were displaced because of it.ĭelaryn and Sira seem to be, but Tyrande, Shandris, Maiev, and Malfurion seem spiritually fine.
