Starting with Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015, the sequels focused on the journeys of Rey (Daisy Ridley), a scavenger from Jakku with an unknown past Finn (John Boyega), a reformed First Order stormtrooper and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), leader of the Knights of Ren and a high-ranking member of the First Order. Following the acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney, the studio brought a sequel trilogy with the intention of closing the Skywalker saga and introducing a new generation of characters.

After George Lucas established the basics of the Star Wars universe through the original films, released between 19, it expanded with a prequel trilogy that focused on the life of Anakin Skywalker, from his days as a young slave in Tatooine to his rise as Sith lord Darth Vader. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was full of moments that didn’t appeal to fans, among those the kiss between Rey and Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, which was definitely romantic.
